Maribel Aber

  Maribel Aber (born Maribel Alacbay O'Brien) is a correspondent for CNN's Money Matters.She was previously chief of staff for the vice chairman of NASDAQ.



 



 Career



 She joined CNN in 2012 after leaving her job as anchor for PBS' Wall Street Week.She has been a reporter for CNN on business, financial, and personal finance news, as they relate to families as well as consumers. She covered stories such as the China Market Crash 2015, Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and the Facebook IPO 2012. With an B.A. from the University of Virginia, she graduated with distinction. degree in international affairs. After having graduated from New York Law School, she received a J.D. degree in February of 2003. Aber is from New York City. She is the wife of Robert E. Aber, the former Senior Vice President and General Counsel to NASDAQ.
